Throughout the U.S., non-profit organizations in cities large and small, are working to help people experiencing homelessness. Many of these organizations have made remarkable impact through interventions that range from providing needed medical care, building affordable housing and providing shelter beds, to funding lobbyists to promote effective public policy on a national level. One thing all of these organizations have in common is the need for adequate funding.
